RADIOCOIL™ is a revolutionary brachytherapy concept that builds upon current clinical experience, while adding a new dimension in performance and simplifying the brachytherapy procedure.
RADIOCOIL™ is an implantable, linear 103Pd radiation source for use in brachytherapy. Unlike traditional "seed" (point source) implants, the RADIOCOIL™ source is optimized for uniform dose delivery through its extended, fine-wire structure. The key design features of RADIOCOIL™ include:
- Uniform activity over the length of the device
- Lengths ranging from 1 to 6 cm
- A coiled structure for flexibility
